Margaret Momber, Executive Director

 

 

 

Margaret Momber joined Student/Partner Alliance (S/PA) as Executive Director in October 2011.

Margaret started her career in The White House and after several government jobs, began a 15 year career as an international banker, living in France and Germany.  Ten years ago, she transitioned to the nonprofit sector, and has worked with both domestic and international organizations.  Her corporate and government experience and financial background, coupled with the exposure to many different cultures, enables her to bring a unique perspective to her work as a nonprofit executive.  She has significant experience in program development, fundraising, risk management, compliance, communications, volunteer recruitment, team building and management.

Margaret has a B.A. in History from Swarthmore College and a M.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University.  She received a certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from the Rutgers Business School’s Center for Nonprofit and Philanthropic Leadership.

Momber has served as a volunteer leader for several nonprofit organizations, including President of her children’s school’s Parent Teacher Organization and the Board of Community Day Nursery in East Orange.

She has two young adult children.  Margaret’s children are both in college.
