Results

Since 1993, when S/PA was incorporated as a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization, many changes and much growth has taken place.  Our supporters, whether individuals, family foundations or large corporations, have all contributed their part in bringing the best possible educational experience and mentoring support to the student recipients of S/PA scholarships.  Together we work as an alliance to help NJ inner-city students reach their potential in high school so that they may subsequently be accepted into and perform successfully at college.

Over 1500 students have graduated from their neighborhood private high school with the assistance of a S/PA scholarship

• Our Partner base has grown to 102 individuals (10% growth in 2011 alone)
• Our Corporate/Foundation supporters has grown to 24
• Our Junior Mentoring program has grown to 19 in this first year (2011)
• S/PA sponsored events has increased to 4 events per academic year (Student/Partner Breakfasts, Community FoodBank Service Program, Family Holiday Party, Greater Newark Conservancy Service Program)
• S/PA alumni share their success by completing the cycle and returning to mentor or partner S/PA students
• Each year, S/PA graduates are recipients of hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarship awards to continue their education at an institute of higher learning
