IMG_0017_2Talk about your comebacks. Just under two years ago, the Archdiocese of Newark announced that Immaculate Conception High School at 33 Cottage Place would be closing its doors for good – the result of declining enrollment and a growing debt.

Happily, that never came to pass, thanks to supporters like Bruce Reitz. As a contributor to Student/Partner Alliance (S/PA), Reitz, who is also a long-standing member of the Immaculate Conception High School Board of Trustees, devoted himself to the mission of S/PA, serving on its board of trustees and organizing their annual golf outing. Reitz and his wife, Susan, have mentored students for 15 years and specifically mentored students at ICHS since 2005. Finally, after the school’s closing was announced, Reitz and S/PA played a crucial role in assuring that students would receive sufficient funds in order to remain at Immaculate Conception.  (click on the picture for complete article)
